Annual Laser Safety Training for Physician Laser Users Launches September 8

​​State regulations and Northwestern Medicine require all physicians who use laser systems to complete laser safety training. ​Laser Safety Refresher Training for Providers is an e-learning module offered annually by the Radiation Safety Department.

This training:
  • Covers basic topics in laser safety
  • Takes about 10 minutes to complete
  • Is automatically assigned by NM Academy to all physicians with laser privileges
  • Fulfills the regulation requirements outlined in Title 32, Section 315.100 of the Illinois Administrative Code, as set by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
 
The module will be available September 8 and must be completed by October 7.
