Medicare coverage of most telehealth services expired on October 1.

If patients have questions about billing at Northwestern Medicine, they should call 855.694.2866 (TTY: 711).
- The latest: Patients on Medicare and Medicare Advantage at Northwestern Medicine will not incur any additional charges for telehealth appointments scheduled up to January 1, 2026.
- At this time, there is no change in coverage of telehealth services provided to patients with other insurance.
- Beginning January 1, 2026, there may be a fee for telehealth visits not covered by Medicare. Patients can check nm.org/telehealth for any updates.
