Central, North, West and Northwest Regions Receive New PACS in April, June

The implementation of a single systemwide picture archive and communication system (PACS) and Workflow Orchestrator is underway at NM hospitals and imaging facilities, except Palos Health. The new system provides a common, unified viewer for all diagnostic images at NM, and allow for the seamless transfer of images between hospitals and outpatient centers.
 
Delnor Hospital began a smooth transition to the new system on March 7. Lessons learned will be applied to implementations in the Central and North Regions on April 13; and in the West and Northwest Regions on June 13.
 
Training
Radiologists will undergo training and receive at-the-elbow support during go-live. Other specialties will receive support materials. Visit Enterprise PACS Resources tab on NMI for tip sheets and videos about the new Visage viewer and Nuance Primordial workflow orchestrator.
 
After go-live, access the PACS viewer by clicking the Visage icon on workstations or within Epic.
