NM Physicians Achieve Mako Robot Milestones

Mako™ Robotic-Arm Assist Surgery has been available at Northwestern Medicine since 2015. NM has a Mako robots at each of three hospitals in the system: Delnor Hospital, Huntley Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
William R. Sterba, MD (above), completed his 500th Mako procedure at Delnor Hospital in October. Dr. Sterba was instrumental in bringing the technology to Delnor and was one of the first physicians to integrate use of Mako into his practice.
In January 2022, Brian Patrick Flanagan, MD (below), and John L. Daniels, MD (bottom), will complete the 1000th Mako procedure done at Huntley Hospital.
